"Game that we play"
In the mark of celebration of the Children's Day, the  Initial Education Direction of President Hayes and the Center Cultural Melody developed the Project of artistic stimulation for children from 3 to 6 years denominated "Game that we play". The Students of institutions of Cerrito, Benjamín Aceval, Villa Hayes, Isla Itá and Remansito have participated.

Celebration of the Children's Day

It began the celebrate with the presence of but of 200 children gathered in the patio of the Centro Melodía.
They enjoyed the crazy globe, soda, goodies and they took advantage to enjoy amusing movies accompanied by rich pororó.

Ongoing Traveling BookBox Program

The BookBox project has begun to roll through the Chaco.  It consists of a briefcase with books that are chosen by the teachers or directors of Villa Hayes’ institutions.  A BookBox remains in an institution for 10 days to a month, depending on the distance, so that it may be used by the youth.  This project was made possible thanks to the International Rotary Foundation, who donated the materials.

“Sowing a Dream” – TELEFOOD – Special Funds Project of the FAO / “YASY” Producers’ Committee of Villa Hayes.

The Project to Strengthen the Entrepreneurial Skills of the Committee was born of a group of women who began to produce vegetables using organic methods in a 4 m x 5 m plot in Centro Melodía’s yard.  They had the support of the Solidarity Gardens Project, PRODECHACO, the Municipality of Villa Hayes, the Government of the Department of President Hayes, the “San Francisco” Agricultural School, SNPP, MAG and Peace Corps, among others, and formed their Committee in 2005.
The TELEFOOD Program will contribute inputs, equipment and seeds to strengthen production, and materials to build a place to sell products, totaling the sum of US$ 10,000.

The Committee’s producers will participate in the Enterprising Women’s Program to be developed jointly between the Paraguayan Foundation and the Centro Cultural Melodía, with the support of the Avina Foundation.
 

Expanding Horizons Project - Participation Program UNESCO 2006-2007 / Centro Cultural Melodía.

Seventeen teachers from Villa Hayes, Gral. Díaz, Nueva Mestre and Benjamín Aceval defied the intense cold of July and gathered to participate in the Project, whose goal is to strengthen teachers’ abilities in the use of the new technologies and the incorporation of these technologies into their practice.  The objective of this project is to train a total of 40 Latin and Indigenous teachers.

Tourism & Culture, an opportunity for economic development for the youth of Villa Hayes.

Within the framework of the project to form the “Confuso River” Environmental Theme Park, 42 enterprising youth from Villa Hayes were trained as Nature Tour Guides.  The training process was propitious for exploring the area’s potential for tourism, and they are currently developing tourist products of a historical-cultural nature.

This initiative will be developed jointly with the Paraguayan Foundation’s Junior Achievement Program and sponsored by the Avina Foundation, and seeks to strengthen the enterprising spirit of Chaco youth.

Inter-institutional Integration between the Chacarita Foundation and the Centro Cultural Melodía through Music

Members of the Orchestra gave a didactic sensitizing presentation before more than 200 children of the Community Centers that the Foundation attends to in the “Pelopincho” and “San Felipe” neighborhoods.  The objective of the activity was to awaken interest in the arts.
